How to Connect Google Forms to AI Agents

Google Forms does not have a simple built-in connection to AI agents like ChatGPT or Claude. To connect them, you usually need to use Google Sheets, an automation tool, or another integration.

The easiest setup is to have your Google Form automatically send responses to a Google Sheet. From there, an AI agent can access and analyze the spreadsheet.

For example, you could use AI to:

  • Review form submissions
  • Summarize responses
  • Categorize applicants
  • Find common questions or trends
  • Pull specific information from submissions
  • Help decide which submissions need your attention

Connecting Google Forms to ChatGPT

One option is to connect your Google Drive to ChatGPT.

First, connect your Google Form responses to a Google Sheet. Once that spreadsheet is stored in Google Drive, you can use the Google Drive connection in ChatGPT to find and work with the data.

This lets you ask questions about your submissions without manually copying every response into ChatGPT.

For more advanced setups, you can also use automation tools or APIs to send new form submissions to an AI agent automatically.

Connecting Google Forms to Gemini

Google Forms works within Google’s ecosystem, so you can also use Google Sheets and Gemini to analyze form responses.

Your form responses can be stored in Google Sheets, and then AI can help you summarize, organize, or analyze that information.

The exact features available can depend on the Google Workspace and Gemini tools you have access to.

Connecting Google Forms to Claude or Other AI Agents

Claude and other AI agents can also work with Google Form data, but you will normally need another step between the form and the AI.

This could include Google Sheets, Google Drive, an automation platform, an API, or an MCP connection depending on the AI tool you are using.

This is where things can start getting technical, especially if you want the AI agent to automatically process every new submission.

For a few forms, this setup may be manageable. If you’re collecting hundreds of vendor applications, event registrations, or other submissions, using a platform built specifically for that workflow may be easier than connecting several different tools together.
